For this extended industry unit I have decided to do a placement because I believe that it is very important for students to have done at least one placement before they graduate to understand the realities of the fashion industry.

From my placement I hope to gain a thorough understanding of what is expected of me within the role of design, pattern cutting and construction, for when I graduate and start applying for jobs. I also intend on increasing my knowledge of said subjects and hope to highly improve my skills by being in a working environment. I believe you can learn more from other people’s knowledge and previous experiences and therefore I will ask as many questions as possible and take on board all the advice given to me.
